My favorite book series is the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series by Charlaine Harris!
Honestly... I have heard a lot of people talk bad about this series because everyone expected to read it and for it to be exactly like the Twilight series vampires. It's not - this is the series written for adults, and I can relate to many things in the book with Sookie and all of her relationships with people in the books! I like the plot and I like where Harris takes these characters and how she develops them.
Now... I'm also a fan of the television show, True Blood - although I can't compare it to the books at all because it's SO DIFFERENT! (:
