One of the books that make me happy is "Love Comes Softly" by Janette Oak.
It takes place in the Old West, the wagon trail days and is also an inspirational fiction story. It's a story that touches my heart and makes me smile.
Marty moves out west with her husband, just to have tragedy strike. She's left alone, not knowing how to survive. She meets Clark - a widower father of one little girl. They marry and eventually this union leads to love and a family for them both. The story revolves around Christian faith and is the first in a series of many books.
