Weekend Warriors (8/17-8/19)

This weekend was BABY FREE.

It was kind of nice not having Ryan around for two nights, but I missed him terribly! It had been a great week of family time (Wesley had three days off work last week). We loved having him at home! Friday was a work night for me... I took Ryan to my Mom's house for the weekend and then went to start a new cleaning gig. I worked for a couple of hours and then went home and crashed!

Saturday was pretty lazy! It was nice. I went that morning to pick up my nephew, Davy, from football practice at the Pike Co fields, and ended up sitting for an hour watching a scrimmage game. It was fun to see him out there, being all grown up! I'm so excited for his FIRST official game next Saturday. The afternoon was super lazy - took a nap, worked on my blog a little and then ended up at dinner with my Sister in law and family. After that, I went to my friend Marlena's apartment to watch The Hunger Games. Only the second time I've seen the movie and I loved it again, even though there was a lot of chatting during it. (: It was the perfect end to an okay day.

Sunday we had to get up early for church - Wesley had set up duty and I was keeping nursery. We always enjoy volunteering on Sundays. After church, we grabbed some pizza and headed to my Mom's house to eat lunch and get Ryan. We ended up hanging out for a few hours - both sisters were there and so was Lauren and Nathan. We played some cards and watched some funny you tube videos. If you haven't seen the one called "baby goat is a douche bag", then you need to go watch it. Actually, I'll post it here! (: Enjoy!

Weekend Warriors (8/14-8/16)

This weekend was pretty uneventful for the most part.

Friday night we went to see Nana and Pop and Aunt Steph. I spent time cleaning Mom's house and then we went to eat Mexican for dinner before heading back home - my sister, Stephanie, stayed the weekend with us. It was so awesome to have her around!

Saturday was BORING! LOL But I loved it that way. Steph and I went shopping for a few hours while Daddy stayed home with Ryan. We went to Goodwill, Bealls Outlet and to Walmart, then brought Chickfila home for lunch. We spent the rest of the day watching television - most importantly, the first four episodes of Walking Dead. Steph has never seen the show! Then we watched a movie before bed - and I also spent some time cleaning the house and baking for my 31 Party on Sunday.

Sunday, Steph and I got up and went to church - leaving Ryan home with his Daddy. (Wesley had to work late the night before from home, so he was not ready to go to church with us that morning). Afterwards, we came home to clean the house, vacuum, and eat lunch. Around 2pm, some friends and my Mom showed up for my party and it was honestly just what I needed that afternoon. (I'll post about that one day... when I feel like being honest about how my heart feels).

Weekend Warriors (8/3-8/5)

Well, I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging on a more regular basis since I haven't been doing that in like months. It feels good to sit down and put what's on my mind onto the screen.

I started Weekend Warriors sometime last summer to update all of you on our weekends spent doing things around the house or around our town. I stopped after a while because blogging and being a Mom to an infant was too much for me. I was having to nap when he napped and that didn't leave a lot of time while he was awake to write anything. So, here I am.

I figured since a lot of kids went back to school this week, it was like a new beginning. So I decided to make it mine.

On friday, Ryan and I spent most of the day hanging out here at the house, cleaning, playing and doing laundry. I really get to enjoy him a lot more these days now that he's almost fifteen months old and he wants to help clean and bring me dirty clothes... but most of the time I just end up going around behind him cleaning up because he drags the laundry all over the house and laughs at me while he does it. It's kind of funny, but super frustrating. That evening after Daddy got home from work, we got dressed and prepared to head to the Moose Lodge (about 10 mins from the house) for a surprise graduation party for our friend at church.

Let me start that story with one that truly started last July when we started going to Lifesong church. In the past year, we've both gotten really involved, made lots of new friends and enjoy the company of them. Our friend graduated from the local police academy this week and his wife threw him a huge surprise party. So, we went, ate pizza, swam in the pool, ate some cake and then rushed home before he storm hit! That's right... it started to thunder on us, and luckily the bottom didn't drop out until we made it home.

Saturday was pretty lazy for the most part. I went to see my friend April that morning to take her an Avon order and to talk about my upcoming 31 party that she and I are hosting at my house. I made my wish list on what I want to get if I earn a certain amount of money, although I don't know what all on that list I will actually be able to get or purchase at a discount. That night, Ryan stayed home with Daddy so that I could go help my sister and parents paint at a salon in Lovejoy that my Dad has been renovating for some friends. (I always jump at the chance to make some extra money). It was a fun time of painting, small talk and then finished with some food and coffee at Waffle House.

Sunday was easy too - church was good although Ryan got knocked down by another child and had a huge knot on the back of his head most of the day. Wesley learned how to help with media during the service, I'm so glad that he's making friends and getting involved in our church. After church we went to lunch with our Pastor and his family and our lead singer/guitarist at O'Charleys. We had a good lunch - and then headed to my parents house after nap time for dinner and some quality time for Aunt Steph to spend with Ryan.

This week has been good so far - kind of busy. Ryan stayed at Mom's on Monday night so that I could attend a sweet friend's visitation for her Papa that passed away over the weekend. So Wes and I got Taco Bell for dinner and watched Warrior. (For anyone who cares, it was a fantastic movie about two brothers who fight MMA). The upcoming weekend looks less eventful, but we shall see.

Weekend Warriors (10/14 - 10/16)

This weekend was crazy and busy! (:

I didn't have Cullen this week (fall break) so on Friday, Ryan and I spent the whole day running around town! We went to Bennett to visit Daddy at work and have lunch! We went by the eye doctor to pick up my trial pair of contacts (I changed brands, so I have to trial them and follow up before they give me the boxes). Then we went to Jonesboro to visit Nana (my Mom) at work! That night we went to dinner at Chickfila and Ryan got to meet his Aunt Jeannine and Uncle Jeff for the first time. It was a great visit with a lot of laughs!

That night, Ryan and I stayed at my parents house, Renee and I had plans to do a 5K in Atlanta early on Saturday and Ryan spent the day with his Nana! The walk went great, I walked in honor of my nephew, Elijah - raised money to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes. He was diagnosed at age seven. After the walk, we spent some time with Summer and family and then headed back to Jonesboro. We gathered some things for the murder mystery party and lunch. That evening we spent some time with Wesley's family and had wings with them! Thanks again for dinner Gail! (:

Sunday was relaxing - church and grocery shopping. Then home for laundry and some grilled chicken for dinner! Over all it was a great weekend! I can't believe my baby is going to be five months this week!

Weekend Warriors (10/1-10/2)

This weekend was WAY busy for the Addison clan! Friday night after Wes got home from work I went and did my grocery shopping and then went up to Momma and Daddy's house for a few hours, colored my hair again and had dinner. Helped get some food things ready for the wedding on Saturday!

Saturday was Ashley and Daniel's wedding, I was so happy to see them finally get hitched! Bradyn looked so cute in his little suit and tie! Also, was very excited to see Gram, Gramps, Aunt Kim, and Uncle Mark! We had a great time!! Here are some photos...
The happy couple!
Me and my Baby Boy!
The Cousins!

Sunday was jam packed with cleaning house and FOOTBALL! (: Can't wait for this week to go by... I get to go down to the Perry, GA Fair on Friday with my Addison/Marlyne family!! We are going to have so much fun! (: More posts to come from this past week! I have some more fun new developments in Ryan's life to post!

Weekend Warriors (9/24-9/25)

This weekend I spent A LOT of time out of the house and I truly enjoyed it! I really cherish my time away from the house because I adore my time here during the week with the two cutest baby boys I know! (:

Saturday Ryan and I went up to Jonesboro/Forest Park for lunch with the family, Ashley's wedding shower and then we went by Southlake (Macy's) for Mom to show me the dress she wanted to get for the wedding next weekend. I'm so excited to see my little cousin marry such a sweet girl! I will be happy to call Ashley family... and we all know how important family is to me.

Sunday we spent time at home catching up on house work. I missed church again due to over-sleeping. But that's what happens when my infant gets up at 6am to eat, and then we all go back to sleep! I will not miss next week! I can't, I miss Lifesong Church! (: Anyways... that afternoon we went down to Barnesville to get some family photos taken. A photographer of mine was doing a Photo Marathon, so we joined in and hopefully got a lot of cute/fun photos for the walls of my house, Mom's house and my Mother in law's house! So excited to see how they turned out! Heather is so talented!!

Thinking about the upcoming weekend, I have the wedding on Saturday, but I really hope that me and my best friend Marlena can make some time to spend together. I miss her very much since school started (even though I see her every day when she drops off Cullen). Marlena, if you read this, we need to make this happen! Love ya girlie!

That's about it! Here is a photo to sum up what I love most about my life right now!

Weekend Warriors (9/17 - 9/18)

This weekend has been fun! (:

Saturday was spent running errands, doing laundry and dinner with the family at a BBQ joint in Griffin. My grandparents were in town to help out with wedding stuff, so we got to spend some time with them and enjoyed time with my parents and sisters too!

Sunday was spent at my Mom's house, we celebrated the upcoming wedding with a lingerie shower for my newest (almost) cousin, Ashley. I was happy to have this little party for her to welcome her into the family and to hopefully encourage her and Daniel to have another little one in the near future! I hope that Ryan has TONS of little cousins to play with! I look forward to Ashely being a part of the Smith Clan and I hope it brings our family a little closer. I've really enjoyed getting to know her and see my cousin's more often because of her and Bradyn.

This week is going to go by quickly... Ryan will be  4 months old this week and next week has his next doctor's appointment where he's scheduled to get more shots. I'm not really looking forward to that part! I can't believe it's been four months already... seems like I just brought him home last week sometimes!

Weekend Warriors (9/10-9/11)

This past weekend was pretty normal.

Friday night I got to watch the 3rd Harry Potter movie with my nephew's! Can't wait to watch #4!

Saturday morning we got up to meet our free Chickfila breakfast reservation. It's been a while since my husband and I have had a chance to eat out together for any meal, so we went and it was nice that it only cost us $5 for our hash browns and drinks to go with our free chicken biscuits. After breakfast, I took hubby home and then I went back out with Ryan to my niece's very first soccer game. She is six years old, so it really wasn't that exciting, but it was fun to see her out there trying and the team played really well! Go Galaxy! After the game, I did my grocery shopping and came home to chill out. We spent the rest of the day inside and playing with Ryan and watching Gossip Girl on DVD. (I've gotten addicted to that show and I stop keeping up with it on tv.)

Sunday was really boring... I slept a little late (wasn't feeling good), cleaned house, did some laundry and then my Mom, Dad, and Sister came to visit for an hour or so. Ryan had bonked his head, so he was in a foul mood for a while. Not to mention the Falcon's lost. We had wings for dinner from Buffalos - it's been months since I've had those wings... they were SO GOOD!! Went to bed kind of early to prepare for my week of watching kiddos!

Ready for the game!

Weekend Warriors 9/2-9/5

This weekend has been a busy one... today (Sunday) feels like the first chance I've had to rest! Friday I ended up not watching Cullen, so I was out and about all day... meeting up with a friend to give her some clothes to sell for consignment, visiting Wesley at work, picking up my new glasses, lunch with my Mom and then time with my Dad/Sister before dinner with my Ragnow family at Cracker Barrel! It was a great day, Ryan was fantastic! On Saturday, Mom and Steph came down to the house and we all rode to Macon to get some new 3 month photos taken of Ryan. I don't have any digital copies yet, will scan them soon! (: Mom and Dad stayed for dinner... it was a good day again!

Today, Sunday, I got up SUPER early for Church at the Races! The church I've been visiting was having service at Atlanta Motor Speedway today, so I volunteered to go and help We Care Inc serve breakfast to those camping out for the race, and stayed for the service. It was a great message about Fears and how they don't come from God. The verse that stuck with me was this one...

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7

Tomorrow for Labor Day we are cooking out at the house with my family and Wesley's family. I am sure it will be a great day! (:

Now, here is a photo of Ryan's new toy... he loves it and has learned how to bounce in it himself!

Weekend Warriors 8/26-8/28

This weekend has been fun! On friday I got my hair colored, had lunch with my husband and visited all the wonderful people at Bennett, then went to my Mama's house for the rest of the day. I got to help Ashley get her wedding invites printed and tied on some ribbons... and go to play with the oh so adorable Bradyn, my little cousin! I'm so excited for this wedding - I'm happy to welcome her to our family! Also, Renee, Mom and I decided to throw her a lingerie party... so I'm brainstorming that a lot lately! The party is on a Sunday in September.

Today I met up with a friend from high school that I haven't seen since graduation! I can't believe how much of the same she is - even though she's a married Mom of two now! It was great catching up and I really hope that the friendship sticks again... she's a great woman and I admire her! Her kids are so cute... and I am excited that I had time to spend with her. After that I went to Target to shop around until time for my eye exam - Mom came down to see us, and hang out with Ry while I was at the doctor's office. We had a fun visit and I got my contacts and new Vera Bradley glasses ordered! (:

Tomorrow is church and a lazy day at the house - and hopefully a movie with my best friend, Marlena! Have a good week everyone! It's almost Labor day weekend!!

Weekend Warriors 7/15-7/17

This weekend has been AMAZING so far!! (:

On Thursday afternoon my cousin, Kim and my Aunt Carol arrived to stay for a few days. This was both of their first times meeting my son and that had me the most excited! I love my Ryan so much, I never can wait to share him with others!

We had a great visit filled with baby love, giggling, games, family time, pizza and movies. I'm so excited for the future of my little family and sharing it with the family members I have that want to be a part of our family and get to know my son. It warms my heart to have family visit and love on him so much. I was told all weekend how much he looks like me and is going to be lots of trouble like I was as a kid! That makes me happy too. This kid is going to keep me on my toes!

Also this weekend I saw the new Harry Potter movie, the last of the series and of course, I LOVED it! It was the one that followed most closely to the book over the rest of the movies in my personal opinion. It was filmed well and I love that they showed them 19 years later as well. It was amazing. Now I'm just waiting on it to come out on DVD so I can buy the whole pack to watch all over again! Next big movie to see it Captain America and then Breaking Dawn in November. I'm sure there are a few others in between that I will want to see as well.

P.S. Water for Elephants needs to come out on DVD soon because I want to see it again!

That's it for now... have a great week everyone!
