Summer TV Reviews

Combat Hospital: I actually kind of liked this one, but it can get a little cheesy at times. I like all the medical lingo and and the military angle. Hope to see a new season next year.

Rookie Blue: Happy to see this one back on television... I love some Andy/Swarek love! So glad that Luke cheated so that Andy could realize he has past issues to deal with before he could commit! Love Peck and Epstien's sexual tension too!

Suits: Surprisingly one of the best show's I've seen in a long time! I can't wait for the next season of this show! I love the chemistry between the two leads, perfect cast!

Franklin & Bash: Eh, it was a good show, but I liked Suits a LOT better.

Switched at Birth: Yes, I watch ABC Family... and I LOVED this show! It's one I had to watch closely to catch all the sign language talk, but all in all a decent story line and a good cast!

Bachelor Pad: Loved the cast this time around... Jake and Vienna in the same house was priceless! I am interested in seeing the finale next week... rooting for Ella/Kirk or Michelle/Graham! (:

Alphas: A new take on "Heroes" but it's been done ALOT better! Really have enjoyed watching these!

Teen Mom: I enjoy keeping up with these young moms and it's nice that I can kind of relate to their issues. New Moms and the financial hardships and what not. I know a lot of people don't like this show (or 16 & Pregnant) but I enjoy watching them!

Against the Wall
: The new cop show on Lifetime... never thought I would like it as much as I do! I am excited to see where it goes this season. I love the family drama and the cop drama. (I'm a sucker for cop shows, can't help it!)

Last, but not least...

True Blood: This has been a great season so far and with the finale coming up next week, I am looking forward to some storylines being tied up and some starting for Season 5! (: I am addicted to Eric and Jason... and I am actually enjoying the show a lot more than I thought I would when it started a few years ago. I loved the books first... and wasn't sure I'd like the show. Now I have to keep them separate because so much has changed.. but that's ok!

Shows I'm looking forward to this Fall/Winter:

Pan Am
Person of Interest
CSI
CSI:NY
Unforgettable
Dancing with the Stars
The Bachelor
One Tree Hill

and I'm sure there are more that I will start to DVR once they start!

OTH Spoiler Alert!!

Quinton Aaron, who portrayed destined NFL star Michael Oher in the 2009 sports biopic The Blind Side, has been recruited by The CW’s One Tree Hill for a guest-starring role, Movieline has learned exclusively. In this season’s 14th episode, Aaron will play Tommy, a student in Nathan’s (James Lafferty) business class who is singled out by Professor Kellerman (Peter Reigert) for being an athlete. As such, Tommy goes on to form a bond with former hoops star Nathan.

Right now, Aaron, 26, is slated to appear in just the one episode, which will air sometime during February sweeps.

Tune in Tomorrow for Brooke's Wedding!

A WEDDING IN TREE HILL — Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Julian’s (Austin Nichols) wedding day is finally here. Dreams become reality, secrets are revealed and wedding hookups are inevitable. James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten, Jackson Brundage, Jana Kramer and Stephen Colletti also star. The episode was written by John A. Norris and directed by Greg Prange (#813).

What has the world come to....

I religiously read the blog of one of my favorite television actresses and musician, Bethany Joy Galeotti. She writes the blog herself, and I love being able to read how she really feels about things in today's society. She's also a soon-to-be Mom like me... so I feel some how connected to her!

Today I read her blog about today's society and 'sex appeal'... it was really heart-felt, honest and I agree with every word! These are questions I have been asking myself for years now!

Here is the part that hit home for me...

Have we fallen so far? Have we finally arrived to the place where not only do you need no talent to become a role-model (and yes, I'm sorry but if you're perpetuating a public career, you are famous and young people look up to you), but you don't even need class? I guess I knew we were really headed down the tubes with the introduction of trashy reality tv... but come on! Even The Bachelor tried to pretend it was classy in the beginning. Now we've got drivel like Jersey Shore filling up the airwaves, and stuff that honestly shouldn't even be called music pouring out of the radio and into the minds of America's youth.

Oh, God. Do I sound like Dr. Laura? I mean, seriously... can I just call attention to this without being called "prude" or "religious" or "a conservative nut"? Please? Hasn't everybody had enough? Don't you miss the days when a sexy picture was Julia Roberts laughing her ass off in a white button-down? Now every young starlet is vying for layouts in men's magazines and posing in their panties with their legs wide open. I don't know... I suppose everyone's gauge for "class" is different from the next... and I hate to sound "high and mighty", but I'll risk it if I can lend a voice to any young woman too intimidated by the media to stand up for her value. I just have to ask... Whatever Happened to Class?

CW's 'Life Unexpected' and 'One Tree Hill' Crossover

by Laura Prudom
What do 'One Tree Hill' and 'Life Unexpected' have in common? Aside from a Tuesday timeslot on the CW and a knack for heartfelt drama, the two shows also have the honor of headlining the CW's first ever coast-to-coast crossover event on Tue., Oct. 12.

Since the dramas are all about dysfunctional family units and both feature semi-unreliable (but very attractive) guys called Nate, this crossover seems like a no-brainer to us, and maybe it'll pave the way for another bi-coastal exchange ('Gossip Girl' meets '90210', anyone?) if the fans approve.

Check out our exclusive promo for the special show -- which features some awesome musical guest stars!

No, music fans, your ears do not deceive you; the crossover will boast an impressive array of musical talent, including Grammy-winning artist Sarah McLachlan, Ben Lee, Rain Perry (the singer/songwriter of the 'LUX' theme song), and 'OTH' stars Kate Voegele and Bethany Joy Galeotti. All five will appear at a music festival sponsored by Ryan's (Kerr Smith) Portland radio station, which should give Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Haley (Galeotti) plenty of time to bond over their similar high-school experiences.

'LUX' creator and executive producer Liz Tigelaar was enthusiastic about how well the episode came together: "The crossover was something that The CW approached us with, and ['OTH' creator] Mark Schwahn and I collaborated to find a story that was seamless and organic to both shows," she explained. "This is one of our best episodes of 'Life Unexpected' yet. It combines many elements that made "One Tree Hill" successful. What's most fun is how much Haley (Galeotti) and Cate (Appleby) have in common and how helpful it is for Cate that Haley's showing up right at this particular moment."

But the crossover isn't simply reliant on the novelty of having characters from separate shows hanging out together; Tigelaar promises that a number of storylines will be paid off in the episode. "For 'Life Unexpected' fans, it's an episode where the stories have built to big revelations, new conflicts, and new romantic pairings and also where old wounds from the past get dealt with," she insisted. "For "One Tree Hill" fans, it's a great introduction to almost our entire cast while getting to have theirs interwoven -- not to mention, both Haley and Mia (Voegele) perform!"

The 'Life Unexpected'/'One Tree Hill' crossover event airs next Tue., Oct. 12 at 9PM ET on the CW, following an all new 'One Tree Hill' -- catch fresh episodes of both shows this Tuesday, Oct. 5, starting 8PM ET.

Season Seven Favorites!

The new season starts tonight!! Here are my favorites from season seven! (:

"Forgiveness is never easy. Bitterness is easy. Hatred is easy. But forgiveness, that's a tough one. Sometimes, people say things they don't mean or do things they can't take back. Sometimes we do things we can't take back. So we feed ourselves to starve the pain." - Dan (VO)

"I get it Nathan, you got married in high school, and had a son at graduation, and you didn't have time to go out and party with your friends and drunken sluts with perfect teeth." - Haley

"I do know one thing: if people saw my life, they’d feel a lot better about theirs." - Dan

Brooke: Hi. How's the story coming? It better not have a happy ending.
Julian: Nope. No worries there, it's over.
Brooke: What happened?
Julian: Let's just say she's the person you thought she was.
Brooke: Does Brooke Davis have to slap a bitch?
Julian:' No, baby. I just won't be working with her anymore. She's all yours.
Brooke: I'm sorry, babe. Are you okay?
Julian: Yeah, it's just I hadn't found a script I liked that much in a long time. Can't believe I was stupid enough to think she'd take it seriously.
Brooke: Well, you'll find a better script.
Julian: Yeah? I guess it's back to renting movies instead of making them. Any suggestions?
Brooke: Something that'll put you in a better mood, or at least in the mood to make out with me.
Julian: Grease 2 it is.
Brooke: Again? You're weird.

"Nathan Scott is a Tree Hill local who overcame injury and adversity to achieve his dream, a dream to play professional basketball. But lately Nathan’s career has taken a backseat to allegations of an affair that led to the pregnancy of a fan. In my opinion, continuing to report on these allegations without any further evidence of their validity is a reckless attempt on the part of this network to boost ratings. I’m not saying athletes are above the law, but I think it’s up to science to determine the validity of these claims, not the evening news. To date there’s been no new evidence that suggests that Nathan Scott is guilty of these allegations. And yet he looks guiltier the more that we report on him. For my part I got into sports news because I think reporting on athletes inspires people to be exceptional. And while I’ve never been an exceptional athlete I can strive to be exceptional in my own way: by refusing to bow to pressure, by refusing to stoop to a level that’s beneath me, just like Nathan Scott has refused to. I believe in Nathan Scott, but I also believe in my viewers. I believe you don’t want any part in dragging him through the mud. So if you want sports news and not gossip, turn the channel, let my boss know that news isn’t just about ratings. It’s about people, and integrity, but mostly it’s about truth and that still means something. I’m Marvin McFadden and this is sports. Or at least it used to be." - Mouth

"Sometimes we fall short of the people we were meant to be. Sometimes people do things they’re ashamed of. And usually after the guilt sets in, we make things worse. My son Nathan Scott is a good man, but sometimes people do funny things in the face of pressure and desperation, and the truth, well, the truth is an absolute. And the truth can set you free. My name is Dan Scott (True). I love my wife Rachel (True). My son Nathan loves me (True). I’m president of the United States (True). I’m Santa Claus (True). I didn’t kill my brother (True). Life is funny isn’t it? Sometimes bad things happen to good people and it isn’t fair." - Dan (TV Show)

"Well, when you and deb are tired of my high-school class,I'm sure I could rummage through some of my old middle-school friends for you." - Nathan

"Who you are is who you are. We’re liars. We’re thieves. We’re addicts. We take our happiness for granted until we hurt ourselves or someone else. We hold grudges. And when faced with our mistakes, we reinvent the past. We reinvent ourselves. At least we try. We’re prideful, and we’re lustful, and we’re incredibly flawed. And eventually, our flaws catch up to us." - Dan

"Zero may not be a size, but right now it’s your IQ" - Victoria

"I’m not crying for me, I’m crying for you." -Jamie (To Haley)

"Then don't wait. Life's too short to play games. If you love somebody and you want to be with them, then go get them. Deal with the mess later. We don't know what tomorrow will bring." - Haley

"Every night I spent away from you,I dreamed about being back here... in this room, in this bed, with you. I dreamed about us, Brooke. And now we're here. We're back. And you look even more beautiful than in my dreams. I love you. I never stopped loving you...not for one night, not for one moment. And I never will. Nothing can ruin us, Brooke Davis." - Julian

Julian: It’s pretty magical, isn’t it?
Brooke: It’s beautiful. This whole trip has been perfect.
Julian: Well, I had a little help. Last night at the bar Jamie gave me a gold star for luck. Wanna see it?
Brooke:Yeah.

[Julian places ring in her palm.Brooke stares in shock.]
Julian: "Oh, wait, that's not it, that's the engagement ring I got for you. Where'd I put that thing. Hey, everyone says that the next thing I do, the next choice I make is gonna define me, my career, my life, well, the next thing I wanna do is ask you to be my wife, and tell you how much I love you, and how nothing else matters. When I look into your eyes, Brooke, I see the rest of my life, and I see it with you. [gets one knee, places ring on Brooke's finger,] Marry me, Brooke Davis.
Brooke: Yes, okay, I want to so much.

Nathan: You okay?
Haley: These aren't sad tears. They're happy tears.
Nathan: All right, well, how about from now on,we do smiles for happy instead? What is it?
Haley: I'm pregnant. I think it's gonna be a girl.
Nathan:
Oh, my...
[Haley and Nathan kiss]
Haley: Nice work, daddy.

Season Six Favorites!

One Tree Hill Starts TOMORROW! (: I'm so excited for Season GR8!

Here are my favorite quotes from Season Six!

"Actually, I was thinking maybe we could just stay in, have a quiet dinner, kiss a while. And there is a chance that I could be rocking some slightly dirty girl lingerie underneath these jeans." - Peyton

"That’s where it gets you. Thinking you had a choice. Love finds you, Son, you don’t find love. It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, what’s written in the stars. A lot to do with the simple fact most women are smarter than we are. And wily. Your sorry butt never had a chance. But if you want to believe you had a choice in the matter, I’d say you made a good one." - Gus (To Lucas)

"You're a mess, Lucas Scott, but you're my mess and I love you." - Peyton

Peyton: Responsible-I’ve-not-been-attacked-by-Psycho-Derek text message sent.
Lucas
: Responsible-I-know-I’ve-been-dark-lately-but-everything’s-ok message sent.
Peyton: Oh, it's a message from you! It says "Peyton, I love you, let’s go get married, Lucas" Can a text message change your life?
Lucas
: God, I hope so.

Lucas:
: Peyton Sawyer, I love you...
Peyton:
: Yes.
Lucas:
: You didn't let me ask you...
Peyton:
: Yes, Baby Yes! God, I love you.

Haley: [in class] You know what? Um...you guys asked me what the point was to all of this, school, literature...life. And, uh I said there was no point. And that's not true. What I should have said was, "I don't know". Because the truth is, not long ago, I sat where you are and wondered exactly the same things. When something that's tragic and evil and unexplainable happens, like losing someone forever...I still wonder, just like you do. Alright, everybody, get out a piece of paper and pen.
Samantha:Why?
Haley: Because this is a literature class. When archaeologists uncover lost civilizations and they unearth their worlds that have long been since been destroyed, you know what they find most often? They find stories, ancient languages, words, inscriptions from people who have been gone for thousand of years, because chances are, like you, they wanted to know, "Whats the point?" And they wanted us to know that they were here, you know? Like they told their stories, and they tried to make sense of their lives and their worlds and their tragedies. So that's what we are gonna do. So I want you to write something, anything at all, about Quentin Fields. If you knew him, write a favorite memory. If you didn't know him, write what you think the point is of all this for yourself and your life and your time here. This is a literature class and that's what writers do. We put pen to paper in times of devastating tragedy. And we try and make sense of it. Maybe we will find some clarity in some of those words. Maybe we will find peace.
[Haley takes a marker and writes on Quentin's desk "He who does not weep, does not see."]
"Listen, Brooke, when I make a movie, I set the bar as high as I possibly can. I put together my wish-list cast, my wish-list crew, my wish-list designer, and sometimes, you know, the timing works out, the material works out, and you get lucky. Sometimes you don't. Good luck with everything." - Julian

"Like I said, you don't know me. I'm not the same girl from the store that night she's gone. You took my life, and you turned it into a nightmare. And all I have though about is that I hate you. I hate you." - Brooke

"Let me tell you why you're not gonna direct this movie. Because you can't identify with this world. I want a director who can recreate the feeling I get every time I step out onto the river court at night. I want someone who can explain to the audience why one song can instantly change Peyton's mood. Someone who can recognize that there are two completely different sides to Brooke Davis, both of which are amazing. I want a director who can make the little things the big things. And you are just not the guy to do that." - Lucas

"I always dreamed I'd be wearing Keith's ring, and I know how much it means to you...so that's the ring I want to wear for the rest of my life." - Peyton

Julian: Does that look like Mr.Popular to you? I know you're not the person you were in high school 'cause i'm not either. And i'm glad 'cause... that kid would've never stood a chance with you.
Brooke:
Were you really a Mathlete?
Julian:
I was THE Mathlete. But, i'm not anymore, and I don't want high school, Brooke. I'm sorry to breakdown your feelings but was meant to describe who the character was before anyone got to know the real person. :[(Julian gives Brooke a list)] That's the breakdown describing the Brooke Davis I'm looking for.
Brooke:
"Gorgeous brunette with an amazing energy and smile. Funny. Intelligent. Kind-hearted. Strong-headed. Simple. Complicated. Motherly. Childish. Tough. Sensitive. Beautiful. Way cooler than she was in high school."
Julian:
That girl has been nearly impossible to find, but worth every second of the wait.

"Maybe the whole point of you and me and every single moment that we've shared together has just been leading us here. Maybe you and I are meant to create this life because maybe this life is gonna change the world." - Peyton

" I love teaching but I would never sacrifice what I believe in to teach. You fired me right here in front of all my students just because you could. So congratulations, you made a good teacher not want to teach and good students not want to learn. Be proud of that." -Haley

"Sometimes when you look back at your life certain moments stand out: the day you graduated high school, your wedding day, the day you found out you were going to be a father. Most of the time they happen in that order. Most of the time." - Lucas

"I believe in true love. I believe in love at first sight. I believe love conquers all. And that doesn’t mean there’s not gonna be hard days or difficult things to deal with, because there will be. But finding that person who does it for you and knowing that person loves you back it just makes everything so much easier. “Peyton Sawyer will become Peyton Scott.” That was the dream. And here we are 10 years later and we all get to witness today a dream come true." -Haley

Lucas: Peyton, I’ve loved you since the first time i saw you. And this ring and these words are just simply a way to show the rest of the world what has been in my heart for as long as I’ve known you. I love you, Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer. I always have and I always will
Peyton:
Lucas Scott… We’ve been through so much together. And despite how confused I’ve been or lost I might have gotten there was always you. Finding me and saving me. You deserve to be adored so that’s what we’re gonna do, your baby and me. We are going to adore you for years to come. I am so terribly in love with you. And I always will be.

Lucas: Wanna take a ride with me, Peyton Sawyer?
Peyton:
Don't you mean, Peyton Scott?

One Tree Hill Sneak Peek !

Season Five Favorites!

Now on to a lighter note - here are my favorite quotes from season five of One Tree Hill! (:

"Anorexia is a disease. It is not a fashion statement." - Brooke

"I believe in our lives we were all meant to do something. It does not matter when your success comes, success can come whenever you want it to." - Brooke

"The rest of your life is a long time and whether you know it or not it's being shaped right now. You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or bad choices or you can fight back. Things aren't always going to be fair in the real world, that's just the way it is but for the most part you get what you give. Let me ask you all a question. What's worse: not getting everything you wished for or getting it but finding out it's not enough? The rest of your life is being shaped right now with the dreams you chase, the choices you make and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time and the rest of your life starts right now." - Haley

"Much as some of us fight it, our parents have a mystical hold over us, the power to affect our thoughts and emotions the way only they can. It's a bond that changes over time, but doesn't diminish, even if they're half a world away, or in another world entirely. It's a power we never fully understand. We're left only to wonder that when our time comes, what kind of hold will we have on our children?" - Lucas

Brooke: Honey, Lindsey doesn't stand a chance, trust me. I have been the "Lindsey" between "Lucas and Peyton" and it is not a great place to be.
Peyton: Yeah, neither is the place I'm at.
Brooke: Are you kidding? You're Peyton Sawyer. The guy wrote a whole book about how much he loves you.
Peyton: You think he still does?
Brooke: It has always been "Lucas and Peyton". You guys are meant to be together. It's the way it's supposed to be. So go and get your man. And this time, if he proposes please say "yes".
Peyton: Wait, if I came back for Lucas, then why did you come back?
Brooke: Duh! For Lucas. Game on, bitch!
"Suddenly it was as if the roar of the crowd, the echo of the final buzzers, the cheers of my teammates were all sounding from 1,000 miles away, and what remained in that bizarre, muffled silence was only Peyton. The girl whose art, passion, and beauty had changed my life. In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity. The realization that we had always been meant for each other and every instinct to the contrary had simply been a denial of the following truth - I was now and would always be in love with Peyton Sawyer." - Lucas

"Dear Molly, this is gonna sound a little strange but I'd like you to paint over my old closet door. The thing is there is never a time when you will be more honest, and your convictions will be stronger, and your motives will be more pure than they are right now. Which means you should chase whatever excites you. Be confident, and take risks, and paint over my words so you can start writing your own. My story may have inspired you, but I'm certain your story will inspire the next girl to live in our room. I want you to know you don't need somebody to write about you in order for your life to mean something. You can write about yourself… make your own destiny. Then years from now the next girl will keep what you write on that door long enough to remind you how inspired your life is. And you can tell that girl to paint over the door because you realize the words you wrote, the friends you had, the urgency you felt will always be there under the paint. The love you professed will always be there, the spark of something undeniable, a seed of hope, the truth for better or for worse burning fiercely just below the surface. Love Peyton."

Carrie: I need to get my stuff.
Haley: It's in the garage. Boxes are marked 'whore'.

Minister
: Lucas Eugene Scott, do you take Lindsey Evelyn Strauss to be your lawfully wedded wife? Do you...
Peyton
: Lucas, you can't!
Skills
: That's what I'm talking about!
Peyton
: I'm sorry. I'm... I'm sorry, but you just... you can't, because I love you and because you fixed my car.
Brooke
: Oh, boy.
Peyton
: Remember that day? Because that day changed everything and I didn't know it at the time. But when you fixed my car, you fixed my heart. And when you proposed to me two years ago, I just wasn't ready. And I was lost and scared, so I said 'someday', but someday's now Luke, it is. Someday is now and I love you. Please don't leave me again. People always leave. At least that's what I should have said, instead, I said nothing and he said:

Lucas
:I do.

"My Mom used to sing to me, I don't think I've ever told anyone that before, it was like our little secret. But every night she'd come in and she'd tuck me in and she'd sing something, like lullaby's or album rock stuff. And after she was gone I remember lying in bed for the first time and just feeling silence, you know. Then realizing for the rest of my life that it was gone, all her songs were gone, her voice and the way it used to soothe me, just all of it. So I guess I tried to find new songs to fill that quiet, but none of them ever really have. Now she's gone and Mia's gone... and Luke is gone. There's just silence...There's just silence. I come in here and I sit in silence and hear the echoes of who we used to be. And so I wish for patience, and grace, and strength to just let him be happy. Mostly I pray for the strength to not make his life worse because of what I want. That's the toughest part, letting go, you know? That's the part of grace that really sucks." - Peyton

"It’s been said that the saddest thing a man will ever face is what might have been. But what of a man whose faced with what was? Or what may never be? Or what can no longer be? Choosing the right path is never easy. It’s a decision we make with only our hearts to guide us. But sometimes we find our way to something better. Sometimes we fight through the regret and remorse of our mistakes, our malice and our jealousy and the shame we feel for not being the people we were meant to be. And that’s when we find our way to something better. Or when something better finds its way to us." - Dan (VO)

"You know that romantic notion that all the garbage and the pain is really healing and beautiful and sort of poetic? It’s not. It’s just garbage and it’s pain. You know what’s better? Love. The day that you start thinking that love is overrated is the day that you’re wrong. The only thing wrong with love and faith and belief is not having it." - Haley

Season Four Favorites!

Here are my favorite quotes from Season Four of One Tree Hill! (:

"My name is Lucas Scott. I'm a senior at Tree Hill High School. I play basketball -- at least I used to. I have a girlfriend -- at least I used to. And I have a best friend. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world, maybe it's nothing like it. But if you look closer, you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way. Someone trying to find their place. Someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it seems like you are the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, or unsatisfied, or barely getting by. But that feeling's a lie. And if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find you and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes. Someone to help us hear the music in the world, to remind us that it won't always be this way. That someone is out there. And that someone will find you." - Lucas (VO)

"There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroad, afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back. But once in a while people push on to something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone and just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in. Or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quite persistence of a dream.Because it´s only when you´re tested that you truly discover who you are. And it´s only when you´re tested that you discover who you can be. The person that you want to be does exist, somewhere in the other side of hard work and faith, and belief and beyond the HEARTACHE and fear of what life has." – Lucas (VO)

"You ever look a picture of yourself, and see a stranger in the background?. It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples life have we been in. Were we a part of someone's life when their dream came true or were we there when their dream died. Did we keep trying to get in? As if we were somehow destined to be there or did the shot take us by surprise. Just think, you could be a big part of someone elses life, and not even know it." - Lucas (VO)

"Okay big news, but keep it on the BLT. Brooke -- broke up -- with Lucas!" - Bevin

" If you're looking for Nathan... he's in my bedroom." - Rachel
" If you're looking for a black eye, it's in my fist." - Haley

"As many of you know, I called this press conference today to announce where I'm planning to play basketball in college. I got a lot of great offers but its always been my dream to play in Duke University, so ah... that's where I plan to go but... You know, my father said that today will be the greatest day of my life, and you're right dad, it is. But it's not because of basketball. You see, today I learned that my wife Haley is pregnant. It's an absolute honor to be recruited by Duke University. I guess what I have to say to you today is this: where I play basketball, if I play basketball, is no longer a decision for me to make alone. It's a decision that I make with my wife and my family's best interests at heart, and when I do I'll let you all know. My wife couldn't be here today so, I just wanted to say one thing to her: Haley, no matters what happens, we face it together. I promise you, I've never been happier. Everything is gonna be okay. I love you. Thank you." - Nathan (Press Conference)

"It's a special thing.. saying 'I love you' to people you love. Because you never know when you'll lose them, or when they'll lose you." - Keith

"Bitch, you're lucky you're pregnant!" - Rachel
"Honey, YOU'RE lucky that I'm pregnant!! I think its time you get your insecure, cheating, skank ass out of this house RIGHT NOW!" - Haley

"Didn't you F her BF when you two were still BFF?" - Rachel

Brooke & Peyton Fight

Brooke: Open the door, Peyton!
Peyton: Or what, you'll huff and puff and blow my house down?
Brooke: Yes, pig. Chase broke up with me, are you happy now?
Peyton: I dunno, did you tape it?
Brooke: That thing with Nathan and I happened a long time ago, and you and him were broken up.
Peyton: Well in case you don't remember Nathan and I broke up all the time.
Brooke: Oh, really, how could I forget, thats all your relationship ever was Peyton, just a string of miserable one night stands thrown together.
Peyton: Now you're describing your life with every guy in Tree Hill!
Brooke: It was one time, and it meant, NOTHING!
Peyton: Well it means something to Chase. And it meant something to me!
Brooke: You know what meant something to me? You and Lucas having an ongoing affair behind my back, because P.S, we weren't broken up either time that you went after him.
Peyton: Okay. My fault. See I was stupid, cos I thought I ruined our friendship, when you ruined a long time ago. We were NEVER friends. (Slams the door)
Brooke:I'm the one with no prom dress,no boyfriend and a black eye, you get to go to prom with the boy you love so you win. Okay Peyton, you win. Why do you even care anymore?
Peyton: Why do I care? Brooke this has been one of the worst years of my life, and I needed my best friend now more then ever, but you, you cut me out of your life because I was honest with you, when you were never ever honest with me!
Brooke: Peyton-
Peyton: You made fun of my mom's death Brooke. You knew her, you cried with me when she died and now you use her as a punchline in a joke to hurt me. It hurt, it did, but not anymore cause you and me, we're done. You're right, she's dead and as far as I'm concerned so are you!

Season Three Favorites!

Here are some of my favorite quotes from season three! (: This is my OVERALL favorite season, so expect this post to be a little long!

“At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men at war with good, and some are good struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes all you need is one.”- Peyton (VO)

"You ever heard the expression 'The best things in life are free.' Well that expression is true.' Every once in a while, people step up they rise above themselves sometimes they surprise you and sometimes they fall short. Life is funny sometimes. It can push pretty hard but if you look close enough, you can find hope in the words of children, in the bars of the song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back." - Nathan (VO)

"William Shakespeare wrote,'Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. It is never fixed, marked that looks on tempus and is never shaken up. Love alters not with time's brief hours and weeks but bares it out leading to the edge of doom'" - Lucas (VO)

"Over the past year I've learned so much about life and love. And even if I could, I wouldn't take back all the bad stuff that's happened between us, 'cause it brought us here, this moment, this river. Marry me, Haley. Marry me again in front of all our friends and our family." - Nathan (Second Proposal to Haley)

"Besides what’s the difference you turn the lights out, it’s all the same darkness." - Nathan

"Yeah, if okay's, like, heels that are killing me and underwear that's digging into my ribcage and I'm about five minutes from going home and binging on cookie dough." - Haley

"Naked in the backseat? That's so last year it's two years ago." - Brooke

"I wanted you to fight for me! I wanted you to say that there was no-one else that you could ever be with and that you'd rather be alone than without me. I wanted the Lucas Scott from the beach that night telling the world that he's the one for me." - Brooke

"Damn your sperm Danny!" - Whitey

"Never expected the cheer leading squad to have more drama than the drama club." - Haley

"You know the moment that I left the tour?...We were playing this club in Illinois... and Chris decides to do a cover of an eighties song called, um, 'Missing You'... and everybody starts singing along, the crowds loving it and they turn the house lights up pause and I could see every face out there... and I... fell apart. On stage, in front of three thousand people; I lost it. I couldn't sing, I couldn't hear the music. Nothing. Because... that was the moment that I knew... that none of it could ever be enough without you. All of the celebrity and all of the applause and all the pretty melodies... couldn't fill your void in my heart. So... yeah, I guess you're right; it’s not the life I would've had... 'cause ever since I met you, it has been so much more." - Haley

"Blaise Pascal once said: "The heart has reasons that reason cannot know." " - Lucas (VO)

"Your game sucks. Fix it." - Nathan
"Your marriage sucks. Fix it." - Lucas

"It's hard to get back into the ring, especially with the one who knocked you out in the first place." - Nathan

"There are 82 letters in here, and they're all addressed to you. I wrote them all this summer. One a day, but I never sent them 'cause I was afraid....I was afraid of getting my heart broken again, like before. 'Cause you hurt me so bad, and I was afraid to be vulnerable. And I was afraid of you and the way that you make me feel. And I know that doesn't matter now after what I did, but I just thought that you should know. This was how I spent my summer Luke, wanting you... I was just too scared to admit it." - Brooke

"If you're always looking for reasons not to be with somebody, well you'll always find them, and I guess at some point you should let go and give your heart what it deserves." - Lucas (To Karen)

"The truth is, I don't really like to think about college 'cause that means high school's over. After graduation everyone will probably go play basketball, or sing, or start record labels. And I'll have to start all over - alone." - Brooke

"Because, you kink your eyebrow when you're trying to be cute. Because you quote camus even though I've never actually seen you read. Because you miss your parents, but you'll never admit that! And because I've given exactly two of these embarrassing speeches in my life, and they've both been with you. I mean, that's gotta mean something right?! And because we're both gonna get pneumonia, but if you need to hear why I love you, I can go on all night." - Lucas (To Brooke)

"But I'm not that guy, Rachel, and I don't want to be. So maybe the elite girls just aren't for me. But one of these days, I'm gonna meet a girl who really loves me. Maybe she won't be what you call hot, but I'll think she's beautiful and I'll tell her so. I won't be mean to her because I don't have to play games with her. I'll just be the guy she can always count on and that'll be enough. And she'll be elite to me." - Mouth

"Every song has a CODA, a final movement. Whether it fades out or crashes away. Every song ends. Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just life." - Ellie

"Everybody can't be popular, because if they were, nobody would be popular." - Rachel

"You should be ashamed of yourself. There are kids inside our school fearing for their lives right now, terrified that someones gonna put a gun in their face and pull the trigger and you want to know how I'm feeling? Our pain is not a commodity for you. It's not a news bite to boost your ratings, because tomorrow or the next day or the next week when we go back to school, changed forever by a day that will never leave us, where are you gonna be? At the next tragedy, thrusting your microphone in the face of the next fractured person asking them how they feel? Lady, that is not journalism. You are not contributing anything to society. You are buzzards, circling the carnage but you prey on the living. That is how I'm feeling. But something tells me you're not gonna air that." - Brooke (Deleted scene about the shooting episode - I loved it so much! She was talking to a reporter!)

"It wasn't supposed to be this way. The artists, and the scientists, and the poets...none of them fit in at seventeen. You're supposed to get past it. Adults, they see kids killing kids and they know its a tragedy because they used to be those kids. The bullies and the beaten and the loners. You're supposed to get past it. You're supposed to live long enough to take it back. Just take it all back." - Mouth

"Nobody has all the answers, but we all have our why's. Like, why did this happen? Why didn't we see it coming? And why do people 'watch American Idol?'" - Rachel

"My pen is the barrel of a gun. Remind me which side you should be on." - Peyton (Quoting a Fall Out Boy song to Pete Wentz)

"Just promise me one thing, promise me that when you pick the boy you're really going to be with, that he'll be someone who respects you and treats you well. And, it's someone who makes your heart race and that he's someone you love because of what he is, not what he does. Because, that's how I felt about your mother, and that’s how I want you to feel one day. Use your head and follow your heart." - Larry Sawyer

"Welcome to the dark side my friend, deception for lunch, payback for dinner, and pie for breakfast." - Brooke to Mouth

Season Two Favorites!

Here are some of my favorite quotes from Season Two!

"You see, then a funny thing happened; Haley. She showed me that you can find the good in everybody, if you just give them a chance. The benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, people disappoint you. Sometimes they surprise you. But you never really get to know them…until you listen for what’s in their hearts and that’s what Haley did with Nathan. That’s what we should do for them. So for you skeptics out there, prepare to be surprised. So this is to my…brother and my little sis in-law, and in love." - Lucas

"Katherine Anne Porter once said: There seems to be a kind of order in the universe in the movement of the stars and in the turning of the earth and the changing of the seasons. But human life is almost pure chaos. Everyone takes his stance, asserts his own rights and feelings, mistaking the motives of others, and his own." - Lucas (VO)

" Oliver Wendell Holmes once said: Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out." - Lucas (VO)

The Sleepover Fight:

Haley: Wait a second, you...you don't have a bed, do you? Did you...tell me, you didn't have sex in my bed, Brooke.
Brooke: I'm already washing your sheets.
Haley: Oh my god, oh, Brooke, uh!
Brooke [pointing to Peyton and Anna] They already yelled at me! What is the big deal?
Haley: The big deal is that, first of all, you did not thank me for helping you with the CDs, second of all, you had sex in my bed, and third, you ate all the brownies.
Anna: Actually, I had a couple.
Haley: That's not the point.
Brooke: Haley's right. The point is that I've been deceptive. Just not so much that I lied to anyone's face. It's more about what I didn't say.
Haley: Uh! Okay, there is a big difference between a lie, and a little white lie.
Brooke: Really.
Haley: Yeah.
Peyton: Okay. Wait, what white lie?
Haley: Nothing.
Brooke: Haley lied to Nathan!
Haley: Not exactly.
Brooke: Yes you did.
Peyton: About what?
Haley: Nothing.
Peyton: Haley.
Haley: [To Peyton] You know what? If we're talking about bad behavior, you might wanna sit this on out.
Peyton: What is that supposed to mean?
Haley: It's supposed to mean that Peyton's the one you should be looking at, not me.
Brooke: Why? She's not the one acting like a perfect little Stepford wife.
Haley: Uh!!!
Anna: Why are you picking on Haley? She's throwing us a slumber party.
Brooke: Actually, she was throwing us a slumber party. You just butted in!
Peyton: Brooke, leave her alone!
Brooke: Why?
Haley: [To Peyton] What are you gonna do? Snort her? Listen, I didn't throw this slumber party for you. You threw it for yourself and you know it!
Brooke: Well, at least I didn't lie to my husband, about hanging out with Chris.
Peyton: Whoah!
Haley: Brooke...well, Peyton did cocaine with that Rick-guy.
Peyton: Haley!
Brooke: What!
Peyton: You had sex in her bed.
Anna: Okay...
Brooke: What is wrong with you! Crack-whore!
Peyton: Slut!
Brooke: [points to Haley] Liar.
Anna: Man, Tree Hill's got some drama.

"Anna, it's not about who I am, okay. It's about who they are. They are people who hate, and they divide, and they feed off of people who don't fight back. Yeah I could laugh this off, but what about the girl who can't? Who's gonna help her? Silence only makes them stronger." - Peyton

"I thought I knew you. But I guess it's easier to see what we want than to look for the truth. You think you know me but you don't. And that means you don't know what I can do. You see me as someone who's popular and who has all the answers but that's not true. I may not always know what I'm doing but I'll try to make things better. And when I make a mistake, because face it, we all do, I promise I'll ask for your help. I can't do this alone, but if you'll take a chance on me, we can do great things together. I promise if you believe in me, I'll find the courage to reach for your every dream. John F. Kennedy said, "the courage of life is a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy. A man does what he must, in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures. And that is the basis of all morality"." -Brook (Speech)

"I'll speak for her (once at podium) We just heard Principal Turner read a list of Erica's accomplishments. I could try to do that for Brooke, but it would be kind of a short speech... As you know, Brooke's probably one of the most popular people in school. Something I'm definitely not... and yet, she's my friend. She never cared what clique I was part of, the kinds of clothes I wore or... the fact that I have to ride the bus... She looked past that stuff. And when you think about it, isn't that what we want in our president; someone who can see past the superficial differences and bring us together? This year, Brooke's had her share of ups and downs... just like all of us. But most of you never saw it, 'cuz even when life got hard, Brooke never let it in. She was just...Brooke; tough, smart, one of a kind... And I don't know about you but those are things that I look for in a leader. Brooke Davis is my friend. But that's not why I'm voting for her. I'm voting for her because of her heart... and her spirit... and because she's the best person for the job." - Mouth (Standing up for Brooke)

Time Capsule Quotes:
Nathan: "So you want me to tell you something about myself? I don’t have anything to say. Even if I did, you’d be wrong to believe me. Trust is a lie. Nobody ever knows anyone."

Peyton: "OK, first-off, I wanna say happy sixty-seventh birthday to Peyton Sawyer. You were pretty cool back in the day. Um… and to… Jenny Jagielski, who is… wow, um, like in her fifties now. Uh… your dad… sure loves you. Plus, he’s a total fox. ----- OK. Well, if you’re young and you’re watching this, uh, you guys know what you’re up against, especially if you’re a girl, it’s... sex, right, and.. and even fifty years from now, I’m guessing it’s still a really big deal. You know, it’s awkward… and… threatening… and thrilling. But, in a way, it’s like sex is the easy part. You know, it’s...giving your heart to somebody; that’s the scary part. ----- I lost my way, a little bit, this year. But.. lately it’s been better. You know, um, it’s pretty amazing how.. temptation can be silenced by a ray of hope. But.. when the face to that hope is a boy’s face, I guess, for me, hope comes with trust issues too."

Anna:
"My name is Anna Taggarro and I'm a junior at Tree Hill High and since it's twenty fifty-five, I guess it’s OK to say that... I'm . Although, if I still haven’t found the nerve to come out to my friends and family...by twenty fifty-five, surprise! ----- My name is Anna Taggarro and I’m a junior at Tree Hill High. And.. I’m homosexual.. and straight.. and a Latina and I hate labels! And I hope by the time you see this, those things won’t be an issue. For now, all you need to know is this; my name is Anna.. and I’m just trying to find my way.. like most kids. I guess that part is timeless."

Lucas: "My best friend, Haley, left town recently. And it’s.. been hard. You know, until this year, it’s-it’s always been us against the world. We pretty much grew up together and.. now she’s just gone. You know, I.. I understand the leaving part. Trust me, I just wish she woulda called me; before she left. I wish.. I coulda talked to her about it. I mean, not to change her mind.. or to tell her what to do, but.. just to say I love you... and I miss you. Just to say goodbye. ----- My brother’s been going through a tough time lately. I wish there was more I could do to help him. I mean, just getting along is kinda new to us. But I guess that’s how brothers are. Better to each other and worse to each other than anybody else. I also wish I could make things easier for my mom. I mean, even though it’s been a tough year for us, I want her to be happy more than anything. But that doesn’t change the fact that I need to get closer to my father because if I can get closer to him, maybe I can find a way to beat him. Once and for all - set the people that I love free. I just hope I have the strength to tear him down for good."

Tim: "Pretty much been with all the hot girls; freshmen, seniors. Yeah, it’s good times. Currently I’m dating, um… Brooke Davis. ----- See, what else, um... oh yeah, there’s this new girl, Anna, who’s into me but.. I’m all 'girl... be patient, you know, 'The Tim' will get to you eventually’."

Jake:
"OK, so… I’m a single father… and… until recently, a high school dropout… and… I’m going on my first date since my daughter was born. Am I a great catch or what? ----- So, I’m seeing this girl and I think our experience levels are a little different, you know, but... even so, I’m doing something with her that... I’ve never done before; I’m falling in love."

Brooke: "So you’re probably looking at this and making fun of my outfit, right? Anyway, here’s all you really need to know about today; if.. you fat, dumb, sexual, and a guy, you’re OK. If you’re a girl, not so much. Please tell me that’s changed in the future. Somebody tell me you’ve got love figured out, because I got news for you; it’s pretty darn messy right now. But I guess it’s always been that way. Wanting to be loved, to find somebody that makes your heart ache in a good way.. feel understood. So.. if you’re robots, or aliens, or something and you’re watching this right now and that feeling no longer exists; well... you missed it... and I feel sorry for you. 'Cause as far as I can tell, that’s what it’s all about. And that’s what I know it should be about."

Season One Favorites!

In honor of the new season about to start in two weeks... I'm going to share some of my favorite quotes from the last seven seasons! These are from season one! (:

“Some people believe that Ravens guide travelers to their destinations. Others believe that the sight of a solitary raven is considered good luck. While more than one raven together, predicts trouble ahead.” - Lucas (VO)

“John Steinbeck once wrote “It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world.” - Lucas (VO)

"When I fell to the floor tonight, I was so scared, I was so terrified. Then I saw you, and I promised myself that if I could just get up, I'd walk over to you... I'd tell you how much I need you and how much I want you... and how nothing else matters." - Nathan

"She doesn't want to go. She doesn't want to see her high school sweetheart slash your brother Dan slash the jerk who abandoned Lucas slash the father of Nathan, the team's star player slash my wrists if I hear this story again." - Haley

"There's no shame in being afraid. Hell, we're all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you're afraid of because when you put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it." -Whitey

" I want to draw something that means something to someone. You know, I want to draw blind faith or a fading summer or just a moment of clarity. It’s like when you go and you see a really great band live for the first time, you know, and nobody’s saying it but everybody’s thinking it: "We have something to believe in again." I want to draw that feeling. But I can’t. And if I can’t be great at it then I don’t want to ruin it. It’s too important to me." - Peyton

"Okay, guy in need of a clue. Here's one. Women send signals. That was a brush off. Before you dip into your shallow pool of wit, let me paint us a picture and save us both the trouble. Here's your evening. You are going to slink back off to your buddies, laugh this off, get wasted, go home, and make nice with yourself. But don't be thinking of me because even your fantasy of me isn't interested in you." - Brooke

I've restarted One Tree Hill!

I'm a little weird when it comes to watching television on DVD - I tend to watch them over and over again, and I start with the first episode and go to the last. I think I have watched all seasons of Dawson's Creek all the way through about 7 times since I bought them! I also have Charmed, CSI, Laguna Beach, The Hills, Supernatural, and more. There are some I am still working on collecting.

But I started this post to go back to the beginning of One Tree Hill. I started re-watching season one a few days ago and again I am reminded while I love this show! I had forgotten about how things go down between Brooke/Lucas/Peyton in the beginning of things. It breaks my heart still to see Sophia Bush cry - and I tend to cry with her!

I was also reminded how much I miss the voice overs that OTH used to have! I wish they still did these because they really are touching and meaningful! One that has stuck with me all week was this one...

“E.E. Cummings once wrote, "To be nobody but yourself, in a world which is doing its best, day and night, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle, which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.”

It really touched me and makes me think about my past and where it's all taken me. To see where I am today, and as much as I hated all that I've been through, I'm glad to have gone through it. It has taught me many lessons and has even brought me closer again to the people that I love and have missed out on over the past few years. They know who we are.

Excited for Fall 2010 TV! (:

I'm super excited about One Tree Hill starting back up - along with a few other favorite shows like CSI and America's Next Top Model! Look for all your favorites to start back up in September!

Hellcats = Tree Hill Ravens!

For some reason, while I was looking around the CW show times for Fall 2010 I located some photos from the new show Hellcats. Even though it has OTH people in it like Robbie Jones (Quentin) and Matt Barr (Psycho Derek)... I think that the tone will be a lot like Season One OTH - but all about the cheerleaders and less about the boys!

Aly Michalka plays Marti - but in this photo she looks a little like Peyton...

I find that kind of funny... but as long as the show does great I guess... and also Ashley Tisdale is brunette - reminds me a tad bit of Brooke Davis! (:

I don't know.. maybe I am going crazy but that's my conclusion! I'm still debating whether to watch the show or not. I am a minor Ashley Tisdale fan - and Matt Barr is HAWT! (: I also just read that Tom Welling (Superman on Smallville) is one of the producers of this new show! Interesting!

'One Tree Hill': Creator Mark Schwahn on Season 7's cliffhangers, the last minute renewal and a 'Life Unexpected' rivalry

Last Tuesday (May 18), a day after the seventh season finale of "One Tree Hill" aired, The CW announced that the series will be back this fall for an eighth year.

Though the show's cast and crew had the luxury of being renewed early over the last couple seasons, that was not the case this time around.

According to show creator Mark Schwahn, the decision really did come down to the last possible second and, though Monday's (May 17) finale included some pretty serious cliffhangers, the producers truly didn't know if they would have the opportunity to tie them up.

Schwahn, who says he and his cast and crew couldn't be more giddy and energized about getting that chance, was kind enough to tell Korbi TV the true story of how the 11th hour renewal actually went down...

When Clay and Quinn were shot just seconds before the finale faded to black, we figured you knew for sure that the show was getting another season. Is that not true?
MS: It's such a good question and, you know, I haven't talked to anyone about this -- I don't think I've even done an interview since [last fall] when you and I talked -- but no, I saw some speculation online about [the show's fate], but I knew five minutes before you guys posted it.

You're kidding.

MS: I talked to [CW president] Dawn Ostroff [who gave me the good news] and five minutes later, my phone started blowing up, and I thought, where is this coming from? So I hopped online and saw that [Zap2it] had [written] something and a couple other websites had [as well]. I always expected to find out Tuesday and, yeah, I found out Tuesday morning at like 10:30.

Wow. So, you really didn't know that the show was renewed when you decided to do the cliffhangers. Did you even have a different version of the finale, minus the gunshots, that you could've run had you been canceled?
MS: Yeah, the truth of the matter is, I just gambled. I had two endings. Obviously, when I was writing it, and then when I was directing it a month after that, we didn't know. And everyone was up front about that. Dawn was up front. [Warner Bros. president] Peter Roth was up front. Everybody just said, look, we don't know, so go with God, do what you're going to do. So I wrote the cliffhangers, but I constructed it -- and I think it's pretty simple to see -- so that there was a way out [had we gotten canceled].

We actually have a cut [of the episode] where, as they're coming down the hill during the sledding sequence, we angled on a couple -- I think Chase and Alex were first -- and we went to the Chase and Alex scene, without Mia's text to him. And then we went back to the hill and we saw the next couple coming down, which was Clay and Quinn, and we went to their scene on the couch, but once she said "I love you" and went to bed, we got out. And we went back to the hill and we showed Nathan and Haley and Jamie and we did their "I'm pregnant" scene and then we finished with Brooke and Julian and Brooke says "you get the sense that everyone's going to live happily ever after" and Julian says "they are" and then we went back to Jamie saying it's a long way up the hill and Haley says "nah, it's just a hill, come on, we'll climb it together" and we drift up in the sky and that would've been the end of the series.

So, I constructed that. We built it, we mixed it, we locked it. And the network said, look, you've got to make the call. Obviously, the show is going to air before we can tell you [if you're getting another season], so what do you want to do? And about a week beforehand was our deadline for deciding which cut was going to air. I talked to [executive producer] Joe Davola and I talked to Peter Roth and a couple people at the network and, though they couldn't tell me anything, I sort of gauged what I thought our chances were and I felt like we'd come back, so I said, let's go with the cliffhangers. My plan B was that I would've campaigned aggressively, had we not been picked up, for a movie. I think that we have a fanbase that's similar to what "Sex and the City" has, not in size, but in loyalty, so I would've tried to do a movie in a couple years to tie up loose ends.

So it was a gamble, but I'm glad it worked, and to the fans that feel like I might've played chicken with it, you know, we've gambled a lot in seven years. And our instincts have been good to us. And our ratings in the core demos that The CW cares about are as good or better than almost every returning show that they'd picked up. And they were certainly better than any show that hadn't been picked up, so I just felt like that would win out. You know, it didn't have to. If the network had a great development season, they're going to fall in love with their new stuff and they should. But I sort of weighed all those odds and I knew what pilots were out there and I felt like we were making a great case for ourselves. And we got lucky and guessed right.

Yes, you did. And you are moving from Monday to Tuesday nights.

MS: Yeah, I have never worried about that stuff. I mean, they've moved our show five times in eight years. And I always tell them, you know, it's your network and we'll just make the best show that we can and smarter people than me will decide where it's supposed to go. I love being [paired] with ["Life Unexpected" creator] Liz [Tigelaar]. You know, that's another thing that hasn't been said publicly. (Laughs) Our show has been involved in a lot of supposed throwdowns with other shows over the years and it's pretty funny because it doesn't ever really work like that, but it's good drama for fans of drama. But I actually sat in front of Dawn during development season when I had a couple pilots [in the works] and I told her, you should leave Liz alone and let her do her thing, she's a good writer and "Life Unexpected" could be someone's favorite show. There was a moment when I was like, oh, crap, I campaigned for Liz and we might lose our spot [to her]! But I've known Liz over the years. I tried to get her on staff at "One Tree Hill" countless times and I'm really proud of the stuff she's doing. I love our night, I love being with ["Life Unexpected"]. I really feel like the shows are totally similar. You know, we're a little louder than they are in terms of psychos and stuff, but I think it's a great fit. I'm happy to be there and now I can watch Monday Night Football and not miss my show.

No doubt. And your diehard fans don't have to wonder what would've been had you been unceremoniously yanked.

MS: You know, this season is sort of a gift, I think, from a network that understands that people have invested seven years in this show -- They knew we were going with cliffhangers for the finale -- and I think that that bodes well for them when they ask their audience to invest in their other shows. Because it's a great message to send and it's really smart business. And that was part of my pitch. You've got viewers that have been watching ["OTH"] for a really long time and to leave on cliffhangers is tough. But they got it, they acknowledged that this is a fanbase that has been dedicated and loyal and, you know, the network gets beaten up for choices it makes sometimes. Well, this is a choice they need to be applauded for.
