Happy Fourth of July!

Independence day!

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.

Yesterday we celebrated the fourth of July with friends at the Worthan's house. It was a day full of sunshine, swimming, BBQ, laughter and Magic cards! You can see all the photos on my facebook, but I thought I would share a couple here as well. Ryan had a great time, except for his dip into the salt water pool. I think it was a little too chilly for his taste. (Considering getting a bath isn't his favorite thing to do right now anyways.) The food and fellowship were awesome!

We also visited a new church yesterday morning. I really enjoyed the service and the sermon on Forgiveness. It was something I think I needed to hear because of some things I've been dealing wiht lately in my relationships with people. I like the fact that it's a 'young' church - the pastor and congregation are almost all close to our age range and have kids around Ryan's age. I think if I can get my husband comfortable with going there every weekend that we might enjoy it and make a lot of new friends. I'll update on this in a few weeks once I've visited a few more times! (:

Ryan hanging out indoors with Mommy after eating lunch. I love this onesie,

given to him by the lovely and fantastic Marlena Bell! (:

Ryan's first dip into the salt water pool. He's not a fan, if you couldn't tell.

  1. Aww such sweet pictures. It's so funny when they have fits in the water. My youngest still does that the first five minutes she's in the water, and she's two.

    Sounds like y'all had a great 4th!

I hope he's not scared next year - he'll be over one years old then!
