Well, those of you who read this blog religiously already know probably from facebook or a phone call today that we found out the baby is a BOY! His name is Ryan Wesley Addison and I'm so glad to be able to talk about him by name now! (:
Also, I changed the design today to reflect my baby's gender!
I was super worried that we weren't going to make it to the ultrasound appointment today because of all this crazy Georgia weather... we live south of Atlanta, and it got really icy! Enough to keep my from getting to work two days in a row! I go back in to the office tomorrow, but I'm going back in a happy girl.
Now, the best part is that our baby Ryan is not shy AT ALL! His first shot once the U/S Tech put the gadget on my belly was of his butt, legs, and manhood! He knew I wanted to know, so it was the first thing we got to see! Then the tech proceeded to make sure everything else looked healthy and she measured him. He weighs about 14 ounces right now and is measuring right towards my due date, May 25th!
I think this is finally becoming real for my husband, seeing Ryan on the screen and being able to see his heart beating, and that he's healthy and growing to be so strong. We talked to the Doctor briefly after the ultrasound and then left the office. My next appointment is the glucose test to check for gestational diabetes. (Here's to hoping I don't have it!)
The only thing the Tech couldn't see was Ryan's spine - he is currently breech. Which means any movement he has pushes on my bladder... which by the way is no fun! (: But I don't care! I will deal with it! He has plenty of time to turn back around, so being breech at this point, according to the Tech, was okay. I got a TON of photos printed out, so I hope to get them scanned soon and posted here and on facebook to share! So be looking for those soon!
That's all for now. Happy Birthday to myself. I had a great day today with my husband and family. It hardly made me worry about becoming one year closer to being thirty! (:
CONGRATS! Boys are the BEST! :) And they sure do love their mamas!
