I stole this blog post idea from my cousin and best friend, Kim.
Enjoy twenty-five things you may have already known, figured out, or might want to know about yours truly. (:
1. I've always been a list maker. I make lists at work, I make them at home and I even make them when trying to decide on something (pros vs. cons). So making this list should be pretty simple, right? Not really. It took some time.
2. I'm nervous about being a first time Mom... taking total responsibility of another person is HUGE for me. They are mine for the next 18+ years. Scary.
3. I dabble in many things... photography, scrap booking, crafts, and jewelry making. I have yet to find my one "true" hobby.
4. I'm an avid reader, and I love a lot of the classics. My favorite book of all time is The Giver. That book opened my eyes to a lot of things... mostly that I wanted to expand and broaden my library.
5. I love sweets... candy in particular. Some of my favorite go-to's are: M&M's, Dove Chocolate, Starburst, Gummi Bears, Twizzlers, and Reese's. I know, it's bad for my teeth. I just never really cared.
6. I'm addicted to lotion! I carry it with me 24/7 and I'm always reapplying to my hands and elbows! I'm hoping this habit will eventually help me prevent tons of stretch marks on my belly! (:
7. See # 6. I'm also addicted to Chapstick/Lip Gloss. This winter has not been very nice to my poor lips... they are very chapped and dry!
8. I'm a sucker for Rom-Com's! Romantic Comedy movies are probably my most favorite genre to watch ever. They make me laugh, they make me cry and they usually end in a happy manner. I like when people are happy.
9. Starbucks is a weakness. Everytime I see one, I start to crave a drink - and that's not always a good idea! They could totally break my bank if I let them!
10. Simple math has never been easy for me. Actually, any kind of math has never been easy for me. It's the one subject I have always struggled with. I can't just put two numbers in my head and add them, I have to count it out. The easy part for me was multiplication - because of the memorization I was taught in school.
11. I LOVE being married to my best friend. He makes things so much easier and I feel as if I can always talk to him about anything, no matter how I feel.
12. People easily like or dislike me very quickly, I've noticed. Some say I'm too opinionated for them, and others say I act like I'm better than them. I don't think I'm this way... but just throwing it out there as a warning. (:
13. I'm ready to go back to college. We can't afford for me to take classes right now, with a baby on the way and my staying at home... but one day, I will go back and finish. I'm determined not to let myself go uneducated.
14. Organization is my most promising talent! Whether it's in my mind, on paper, in folders, or on the computer... everything has it's place and I know right where it is.
15. Cereal is my favorite breakfast food ever - and being lactose intolerant doesn't stop me from having it. I'm thankful for the Lactaid company for creating an alternative to milk that doesn't taste like ass.
16. My friends are special to me. When you get listed as a friend in my life, you should know that I am there for you no matter what and no matter how hard you try to push me away, I will always come back to you. I don't let my friends down... and if I have in the past, I do apologize from the bottom of my heart. I've learned a lot in the past few years about friendship and love and they are two of the most important things in life to me.
17. I'm your typical country girl in every sense of the term... I love horses, the outdoors and country music. But, I have a girlie girl side as well... I love makeup, shopping, and SHOES!
18. My favorite songs in the world are: Come Sail Away by Styx, Bennie & The Jets by Elton John or Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. No matter how many times I hear them, I never tire of them.
19. I constantly worry about money... am I spending too much, are we saving enough, are the bills going to get paid on time, we need to eat at home this week to save more?! I think it drives my husband nuts but he loves me regardless.
20. My in-law's have not always had the best luck when it comes to daughter-in-law's... So it's my personal mission to include them in our lives as well as my son's life. They are very special people to me and I love them dearly! (Same goes for my sister-in-law... I love her to death and she's become a wonderful friend to me.)
21. Museums are my favorite way to GEEK OUT! I love the High here in Atlanta and I love all the ones I have visited in Washington DC as well... I hope to get out more in the city and take my son to see them all as well during his life. These museums can teach us so much about life and about the history of our country/world.
22. Reality television is a weakness... I am currently watching The Bachelor, American Idol, Teen Mom 2, Extreme Makeover Home Edition and many more. I can't help it, I love seeing REAL people on television. (But I love my drama fiction as well!)
23. I'm into online role playing... it's not as lame or as geeky as it sounds. It's actually a really good outlet to write creatively with other people in a forum that promotes my being creative and doesn't judge me for choices I make for my characters. It's a fun way to connect with other people online and to write a story collectively. (Don't knock it until you try it!)
24. One day, I might just take the plunge and learn how to play World of Warcraft or Magic. My husband plays both and I would love to be able to share those with him. I just hope he has the patience to teach me! (:
25. I own more than 40 pairs of shoes... it's sad, I know. But I do wear them all eventually... and rotate them seasonally!
