9 Months

Dear Ryan,

I can't believe that you are the same age as how long Momma carried you in her belly. Those nine months of carrying you were some of the sweetest but some of the hardest months I've ever been through. That goes without saying though that it was all worth it. The sickness, the sleepless nights, the kicking my ribs and sitting on my bladder. I would do it all over again to have another sweet baby just like you! Hopefully one day you will get a baby brother or sister, we will have to see what the future brings.

I took you to your nine month appointment yesterday and after spending two hours there we found out what we already knew, you are a strong, healthy, and growing boy! You are 21.4 pounds now and you are 27.5 inches long! Your head is 18.5 inches around - big enough to hold that smart brain of yours!

You love to laugh and play, but you hate when Mom or Dad leave the room. You love to explore and check out all the rooms in the house, mostly the kitchen because that is where you find many new toys to play with from the cabinets. You are trying to walk, but still not standing as steady as you'd prefer. You know what the word 'no' means and you've started to shake your heard no at me. I still love to hear your laugh and you are so ticklish! You melt my heart!

I love you sweet boy! We get to celebrate your first year of birth in three months and Momma has already started planning! Can't wait to see you grow!

8 Months

Dear Ryan,

You are just moving right along developmentally. We still have a tooth that's trying to come in, so you've been sick and miserable as of late. I've felt so bad for you, wishing that I could just take that pain as my own and let you feel better! You are trying to walk too - already learned to work your way down the couch. Trying to talk, learning to wave and give kisses. Each day you surprise me with something new and I love every minute of it! You are too sweet little boy and I look forward to watching you continue to grow up.

I will be planning your first birthday soon, I can't believe it's just over three months away! You really are growing way too fast. Your Dad and I can barely keep up! My favorite though is when you laugh, it's the sweetest sound I've ever heard in my entire life! I love to tickle you. Your favorite thing is still bath time!
